Charles N. Cook most recently served as Senior Vice-President and General Manager for one of Oregon's largest homegrown companies. Charles' accomplishments range from tripling sales, modernizing the manufacturing and financial system, expanding the company's international base, and developing a much improved senior management team.
A major area of expertise is his family business succession planning, an area where most family owned businesses fail. Charles also has broad experience in working with Asian and European manufacturing and marketing organizations where his understanding of cultural differences and language barriers has always been crucial to achieving beneficial results.
In previous manufacturing and financial positions, Charles' accomplishments include streamlined production planning processes, improved financial reporting and manufacturing information, improved inventory turns, reduced lead times, and developing significant subordinates for future growth.
Charles has served on numerous Boards, including 8 years with the Associated Oregon Industries, Salem, Oregon, serving on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee from 1999-2005. He is currently an active member of the Board of Directors for Carlton Company and an active member of the Board of Directors for Adec, Inc. Charles is a member of the Association of Corporate Governance (ACG) and maintains a membership in the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
Charles attended Southern Oregon University, receiving a B. S. in Accounting. He has also completed post-graduate courses at both Stanford and Portland State University.
